Contaminant notes are summarized from each utility's publicly published Consumer Confidence Report (CCR) and EWG's Tap Water Database. Levels reported by your utility can be within EPA legal limits and still be above independent health guidelines like EWG's — both are worth knowing. Actual results at your tap vary with the season, your home's plumbing, and how long water sits in the line.
